Our story

From a young age, "MOMO" was introverted, yet she naturally cultivated a sensibility uniquely her own. Layering swimsuits, for instance, was for her a sincere way to express her inner world. Through her journey in fashion, she reached a profound realization: true love resides in what is created by hand. She felt that when you pass something cherished to another, that feeling is conveyed beyond words. This led her to a path of creating only what she truly loves, for the people who are drawn to it. 
　After the pandemic, while working in social welfare and witnessing the diverse ways people live, she began to wish for a future where everyone is free to "wear" their true selves.　
 
　"NANA", in contrast, has always been brave enough to follow wherever her heart led. At twenty, guided by impulse, she moved to Brunei. Seeing a mosque for the first time, she realized how small her world had been. The quietude she found there touched her heart, transcending differences in values or culture.
　Through meeting people of diverse backgrounds, she learned how En (縁)—the invisible ties between people— enriches lives and links disparate worlds together. The kindness she encountered abroad and the pride people took in their heritage taught her the beauty of becoming one beyond boundaries.

　When these two, who had walked such different paths, finally met, they found they were looking toward the same horizon. They believe that every person is different, and it is those differences that make the world richer. They want to believe that a single piece, held in one’s hands, can become the power to choose a new future. This quiet yet unwavering belief led them in the same direction.
　MOMO & NANA is not simply a brand that creates beautiful textiles. It exists for that fleeting moment when, at first sight, emotions gently overflow. It is a brand that weaves intention and soul into every single piece of cloth.
